Yes, the 86S is correct. And that is what provides the second power
signal to the radio.

Another bit of investigative results: The "little metal contact" (when
finally seen in bright sunlight [oh these old eyes :-( ]) in there turns
out to be a white plastic plunger control button for a
push-On/release-Off switch. When pushed contact is made between pin 30
(which is +12 volts from power source) and pin 86S (the "S" part is a
bit hard to read so I'm not positive about the designation). Releasing
the plunger breaks the circuit. This could well be the feature which
turns the radio off when the key is removed.
Does anyone have the "other" switch at hand who could check this switch
variant?
