[s-cars] AAN stumble- forget the test

Hey people,

Sorry for this being asked a million times, but I just cannot seem to find
the email/link giving the clear explanation for isolating which could be
causing rough running; POS vs. coils.

If someone could forward or post it here that would be great.

In short though, the S6 had been starting up somewhat rough upon idle and
then mellowing out. Sometimes a cutout at WOT, but this was rare. Then
yesterday getting on the freeway entrance at WOT, big cut-out and rough
running. No smoke, or anything under hood visibly wrong and pretty much 99%
sure it is not a slipped hose. Feels like it is running on 3-4 cylinders and
really no boost. Cats started to stink after as well as I am sure the O2
sensor is fouled from it running rich.

- Plugs have ~10k miles on them.

- Car is stock ECU

- POS and Coils are original

I am thinking given age of hardware and milage gotten out of them, to just
go w/ the Apikol/034 POS kit to be sure they are all good there. Opinions
welcome and anyone in Portland willing to come check it out is also
welcomed. : ) Thanks people- I really appreciate it.
