[s-cars] Coilover Adjustment

OK, admittedly this question is directly related to my 2001 S4, but nobody
over on Audiworld will answer the question:

I have a set of H&R Streets on my '01 and I was wondering if I raise the
perch the last 0.5" or so will that lessen the amount of travel until coil
bind or will it remain the same? If I understand the physics of the
coilovers I think the body will just raise along with the spring perch
leaving this clearance the same...is that correct? First set of coilovers on
a car new to me....sorry for what probably seems like a silly question.
