[s-cars] Cat Suggestions?

With my 97 S6 parted out and fading into memories, I have resigned  
myself to the occasional driving of the wife's A4. One thing that has  
been bothering me the past few months is the rattle coming from her  
now defunct cats (V6, dual cat version). I priced out a couple of  
options, and let's just say it was extreme. This leaves me with doing  
it myself.

So, what is the list's opinion on the MagnaFlow universal cats? I can  
get those for about $70 per, and I assume I would just get  
appropriately sized exhaust clamps, cut out the existing cats (making  
sure to leave the post-cat O2 sensors in place), and clamp in the new  
ones?

Is this the best option? There is no concern about turbo flow, just a  
NA V6 chugging along. Thanks for any tips!
