I think the 21 gallon spec in the manual is for a front drive 100/A6.  The
Quattro should have something like an 18.5 gallon tank IIRC.

I Just had best mileage ever! Yesterday I drove from
Kalamazoo, MI to Traverse City then to Cheyboygen
and back to Kalamazoo.

Managed to get 470 miles out of one tank before
I stopped. Then I squeezed 19.73 gallons on, the
owner's manual states capacity of 21 gallons but
I'm not so sure....When I took off from the stop 
sign enroute to the gas station it stumbled.

I think I cut it REAL close!
