[s-cars] Driver's door lock cylinder lever broken- any BTDT repairs?

patient is a 95.5 S6 with the RF remote locks.

I'm in the process of repairing the door latch cable that keeps 
coming off the lock mechanism.... Opening the window to open the door 
from the outside is getting old quickly.

Would like to repair the lock cylinder lever too.

Anyone have experience with replacing the lever on the back of the 
drivers door lock cylinder that attaches via link to the lock mechanism?

Ala the type 44, the lever has sheared off.

Mac @Clairpartsconnection sent me 4A0 837 287, but it doesn't seem to 
be the same cylinder lever as the one in the car.

Bentley shows repair instructions for a lock cylinder that has a 
circlip retaining the lever, ala Type 44.
The S6 has a different back on the lock cylinder, no circlip.

  I can open and close the doors by turning the key twice or using 
the RF remote.
