[s-cars] AC cut out

Don't forget bugs (remember my 2005 S-Fest bumper?) and other alien
materials that partially block the condensor over time. Run high volume, low
pressure water from the engine bay through the radiator. The best is to use
an "open end" garden hose (nothing but the end of the hose). You'll be
amazed at the amount of scrap that will come out from the radiator and
condenser.
Don't use high pressure if you don't want to bend your ageing radiator fins
and block the airflow. The garden hose MUST be "open end" so you have large
water volume with minimum pressure.

This is a common occurrence on really hot days. When it happens on mine
I let it sit for about 30 seconds after it's kicked off and then turn it
on again. Usually stays on after that. May sometimes require a second
try. I really think it's the high pressure switch in the system that
may have drifted with age and the higher pressure in the system on hot
days takes it over the edge. Try replacing the switch.
