Ok, the fun began just before daybreak.
Driving West on I26 between Hendersonville and
Asheville, NC.

In slow lane, doing ~65.
Gold Chrysler minivan on my quarter in fast lane.
Road mostly clear, pavement dry, temp ~27 degrees F.

Kids in back seat quietly humming or talking. (3YO
and 10 Month old)

Look in side mirror to determine where my fender guard
is (yep, still there for more than a mile and a half).
(Took maybe a second) Looked up, there is a last
year black Chevy Caviler / early Cobalt in the slow
lane doing 25, no light, no signals.

I knew the van was riding the outside line and would
have some time to react so I yanked the wheel to the
left. Wait 0.5 second and straighten the wheel and am
straddling the center yellow. Van has moved to the
outside edge of the lane but not slowed at all. The
Black Chevy has moved to the inside of the lane, but
not pulled off. Front wheels are travelling straight,
but rest of car is maintaining a 15 degree slant off
of dead ahead. I ride it for a min, and then correct
when in safe position that I will hit neither car. I
never lifted off the throttle.

Kids were shooken up, but safe. My adrenaline was
pinging off the redline

OK, my 94 S4 has V8 Eibach's with revalved Bilsteins.
Slightly lowered. Handles well (not great, but well).

Why would you add rear roll stiffness to a car that
already you can induce snap oversteer on with a flick
of the wrist?

BTW: Falken ST-215's rock!

Back to you normal banter.

Respectfully yours,
Kevin in Asheville
