Kinda have to agree..
144K on original fuel pump is damn good and replacing it is just 
circumventing the inevitable anyways.

I fucked around with this ,and that , and then I replaced the fuel pump and 
was done with it.
Really, in these days what lasts that long anyways.............

just my 2 cents worth.. YMMV etc etc,,
