[s-cars] My butt momentarily in a BMW

No no no no no, gents, tempting as it may be.
Scotty's hammer was precise to the nail... I cringe to think of a 60k
motor rebuild. I recently had the WG out and installed a new 15k used
one as mine was seized - left the OE spring as-was. The car is def.
"fast enough" (famous last words) as-is. A boost controller is a more
efficient way to go and I've got a real nice one in there, capping the
fun @ 0.8bar. Any more was seeing detonation when we were tuning it.
There's so many molested 930s out there, this one's a time capsule and I
(mostly) intend to keep it that way.
You guys are funny though in your back and forths - been enjoying the
read! Sorry to all the others that may not and consider it bandwidth
abuse. I find it edumucational tho, mesself... and, hey, anything that
gets Scotty to crawl out of the woodwork and post up is a bonus!
I'll weasel me way into a 335i for a JNR outing hopefully sometime soon
Scott and will report back, sure.
-Paul

You realize, of course, that Paulie didn't know that yet...and he is now
crazed by the idea of a few bucks and 300 - 500 hp.
You're a cruel man, Cody...He won't be able to sleep for days.
And God help us when he does the mods and puts that thing on the road!
