Chris,
I most certainly have watched the market. Nice UrS4s go for $4-6k, in
good condition. Add $2-3k for RS2age, plus the supporting stuff that
goes along with.
Good UrS6s go in the $7-11k range, the high end being Avants. Add,
again $2k for RS2age.
Now, I'm looking at enthusiast-owned stuff here, mostly, plus eBay and
Audifans/AW marketplace. The crappy rusted UrS6s rarely go for less
than $5k.
I don't think asking $8-9k for my chip + BBK + '92 springs '95 S6 with
105k miles is outside the realm of possible. And when I slap on my
RS2 gear, getting $10k out of it shouldn't be too much of a stretch.
If I ever find a decent 6-sp tranny, add another $1k to the resale.
(Not that I care - I like a six-speed tranny).
Hell - UrS6 for *parts* should bring $4k, at the minimum.
Eric
