[s-cars] 1.8t coil update

Well, another one of my 034 Motorsport-sourced 1.8t coils is on the way out.
missing under boost, still OK at light throttle.

 

This time I purchased an STI brand 06B 905 115R from my local import
repair/parts shop.  (Local VW dealer charged me $42 for a $31 coil last
time, so I wasn't going back there again!)

 

When I went to install the STI coil, I made a pleasant discovery. after
removing the rubber surround, the STI coil fits the AAN with no
modifications!  The plastic surrounding the metal casing at the top doesn't
come down as low as on either the 034-sourced coils or the VW dealer-sourced
coils, so no trimming or grinding is required.

 

The STI coil has STI part number #11961T printed on the box, along with VAG
cross-reference number 06B 905 115R .  "Made in Germany".  (I think it is
actually manufactured by Bremi as there is a Bremi/Karlyn/STI connection.)
