Tom,

I have to admit I'm impressed. I thought I was in the worst terms with Audi
gods having to buy a third car just to make sure there will be at least one
that will start every morning. Then you said you had to try to rent a car
with _seven_ audis in your stable.

The only thing I can think right now is you should start buying candles by
truckloads and build an acre large Audi altar right now.

I'm sooo pissed... I just got my first moving violation in 18 years !!!
but the sad part is how. (a little long)

I currently have seven (7) Audis on the road to accomodate four drivers in
the family. Most are of the older variety and job has prevented proper
upkeep. One is in storage, and two are currently not running, leaving four
for four.  Ah, but number one son is traveling for business and doesn't
trust his clunker so spare car goes to him. Number two son needs to get to
class and his car is also down, so spare car goes to him. I'm also in class
this week but I'm not going to drive the clunker so here I am at Enterprise
trying to "rent a car!". (yes I'm laughing inside) but it's late in the day
and no cars left...  what to do?

I say screw it, I gotta get to class so I throw some air in the tires and a
qt of oil into number one sons clunker and off I go. Cruising middle lane of
three lane hway I spot a statie on side of road who immediately pulls out as
I pass. Lights come on and I pull over. Windows inop so I start to open
door. (Bad move!)  Bull horn yells for me to "shut door and keep hands where
I can see them". Officer moves to passenger door and motions for me to open
window. I motion back, windows inop. He opens door and asks me whats the
reason for the big "R"ed safety reject sticker. "Ah, no idea, it's my sons
car...".  I'm watching him in my rear view mirror and he's shaking head
snickering. He comes back and says the reject sticker is dated mar 06. My
son has been driving like this for almost a year and I get nailed first day.
Wtf?  He hands me a $50 ticket. 8-(  I'm bummin......  it's an insurance
surcharge as well.. Arrrg!
