Aaron,

an ISO file is an "image" of a CD or DVD rom.
What you need to do is use a program like Nero to burn the image
to DVD. Not simply burn the file to a dvd.

If you have Nero open the burning rom, select file>open and under file 
types select image files. Then browse to the ISO file, select the ISO
file and click burn.

If you don't then read here, it's a free program to burn ISO 
files to dvd. http://www.ntfs.com/iso-burning.htm
