It sounds more like the display is failing, Teddy.  But, since the  
module retails for about $150 it is worthwhile to check it out.  I  
would suspect
the connection between the LCD display and the board inside the  
module.  They are delicate so work carefully.  If you do this, and  
cannot
correct the problem, I have a module that always displays -7º C  
IIRC.  A local monkey lad that claimed to be an electronic technician  
fried the
board replacing the bulb.  Perhaps the display can fix yours.
