1. Ayuh. Some of the crew at Moosehead Lake were talking of Guinness and
steamers.  I thought of J's Oyster in Portland -- so close, and yet so
far.

2. Yes, and no.  Any S4/S6 is a great car.  Each has its strengths and
weaknesses.  My boss says he gets 14mpg from his '05, but he also admits
that he isn't shy about using the gas pedal.  Newer to me means quieter
and more refined, at the cost of DIY maintenance and weight.
