I went through this last summer and overhauled my suspension. I used S6+
springs which are very similar to the 92 springs and Boge shocks. The Boges
are subjectively 20-25% stiffer than stock. The ride is well controlled, yet
still compliant. Mine is a daily driver and ride quality is important to me.
Remember that the 92 was the lowest and stiffest of all the years and my 97
was the softest. So on your 92, you may not notice a big difference as I
did.
If you want to go stiffer, then the Bilstein shocks combined with your 92
springs is a good choice. With the rears, you will need to insert a spacer,
otherwise, the rear will sit too low.
