'Tis why I love my 'ol 86 5kcstq in the winter. Dual diff lockers with stand-alone ABS de-activation. Still the best of the 13 Audi's I've owned in the snow, although I never did thrash the UrQ in the snow, at least with snow tires.

Maybe it's an ordF family thing. The DSC on the Rx8 will practically "stop"
the car (when you least want it) on snow & ice. Have to turn it off to even
think about trying to carry some speed for the next uphill. It's worth at
least an additional 2-5 seconds a lap at the last remaining local track,
Pueblo. By contrast, the Porsche systems (at least the in the latest cars)
is pretty unobtrusive except in the (relatively) most egregious of
situations.
