[s-cars] Differential lock leak?! - Or seal?!

Mike,
You ARE ETKA ninja :)
For all the time I have S4 and how much work I did - I still have problems finding needed page
p/n 017 525 075 A is looks like what's needed.
For now I took it out, degreased and put back with some fancy automotive silicone. Don't think it will work but worth trying.
Now I will ask question about seal. When I took flange off - seal was dry and look like new. So, I concluded it's good.
Now, after I got everything back together I'm thinking if it's possible that GL will leak through seal onto flange and out without staining seal?
Thanks,
Ivan

I don't have a diff-lock, so I can't be certain...
Believe what you're looking for is in A10Q/MG5/SG25. I'm looking at
525-20. I see a boot, hose clamp, and a selector fork. Since it's the
rear diff, I have no idea what else a selector fork would be doing back
there. The boot is p/n 017 525 075 A, but I strongly recommend you
verify this in your ETKA.
And if it seems to anyone else like I'm the ETKA ninja lately, it's just
because I read it like a cheap romance novel. Mmmm, headlight plug for
urS6 is 8D p/n. Mmmm, that's because the A4 came out in 95 in Europe
and the urS4 prolly has a different one. Mmmm, that's hot.
-Cheers!
Mike
