It's repairable if you have reasonable DIY skills and good eyesight!

I wrote up a procedure a couple of years ago - in four out of four cases, it
turned out to be problems with the brushes in the little DC motors in the
servos.

Since I don't have a replacement motor or position sensor handy, is
this repairable, or simply something that needs to be replaced?
