[s-cars] NAC: Why should I run away from a '96 328IS?

Under $10k Canadian or $10k USD?
'90-04 Miata.
'94-01 Integra GS-R
'99-00 Civic Si (might be Si-R in Canada)
I would not call any of the MkIV VWs reliable, so that's out.
I'd rather get an A4 over a E36 3 series, esp. up where you are. Better than
the VW in reliability but not great, main. records are a must, no problem
finding
a B5 for under $10k, even a nice one.
Only concern about the Integra and the Civic is theft.
The three Japanese cars I listed are very reliable, cheap to run (but the
Hondas are
theft risks) and fun to drive. The Miata is probably the most fun you can
have in an
expensive car. The GS-R is quite a nice package as well, maybe not as sharp
as the
ITR, but still a really top-notch handling car and will amaze you that it's
FWD. The Civic
is very similar to the GS-R, being based on the same platform.
Can you still import stuff 15 yrs. old w/o restrictions? Give the S6 a b*tch
slap by importing
a '92 S4 Avant from Germany and see how she likes having her sister in the
house. :-)
