Eric...
When my 95.5 S6 Avant started pitching CEL's that wouldn't stay lit (mostly
under load, like elevation changes), it turned out to be plugged kitties.
YMMV

Subject: [s-cars] OK, I need the list's wisdom.
The only code I get is engine speed sensor.
Here's what happens: 1995 S6, she starts and runs well. Then, once she
warms up, she will, randomly, stumble and flash a brief CEL.
She'll settle down to idle, or she will hunt around a bit, pitching CELs,
which don't stay lit. They she'll die. Start right up, run, do the same
damn thing. Ahem.
The hunting makes me question some things, but first, I want to not bias the
jury by offering my suspicions. I want to measure some of the output of
some of the sensors, but first, I need to know where I can find a list of
the groups, and which sensors/switches can be measured in each group, so
that I can use the three measuring blocks to log some data while it's
running. Well, when it's running, LOL.
Then I can figure out which of my suspects is doing it's evil deed.
THe car pretty much runs, and the stumbles are kind of a pain, but
inbetween, the car runs great. Oh, and it doesn't do any CEL stuff unless
it's warm - like water temp gauge to the fat line.
Thanks, guys - I have loved the Fiat talk, BTW. :)
Eric
