Why bother with a custom fit electric fan when a fan clutch last 8 years,
150Kmiles in salty Quebec, can be replaced in about an hour (using long thin
fingers) and cost about 150$? Plus you'll need a second thermo switch for
the custom fit electric fan if you want to keep the silent medium
temperature fan plus noisy high temperature fan functionality.

I think it was a jetta or a passat fan
I would like to do it as well, my thermostatic fan clutch was cut off a few 
years ago, and I had some troubles this summer idling in traffic... Had to 
shut down the A/C, it wasn't pleasant.
So, forward the info to me as well if you find out.
