If you find out please do share, my s4 has had this issue for quite
some time, originally I thought it was my FPR, which i replaced but
the issue remained. I recently put in the 034 cold air intake and the
stromung exhaust. No real change I know that I have a tear in the
rubber elbow hose comming off the rear of the block, I have it taped
up, and I am about 5 minutes from ordering a new one. When I get the
bucking thing, my turbo is spooling but the car is not reacting to
what is comming out of the turbo. To me I would think that my boost
is being lost somewhere, but its not all the time, for me it is more
prevelant in 5th gear and in the lower revs 1k-3k. When the bucking
starts if i down shift it goes away.
I still have engine and tranny mounts to put it, but I don't feel
failed mounts would directly cause this.
Keith what ECU software are you running just for grins? And do you
have the means to pressure test the engine to check for leaks?
