Just an FYI...
If you close the recirc flap without the A/C compressor running, you'll have a car where you can't see out of the windows in minutes, due to accumulated moisture.

Here you go Raul. I have not done this yet but am most grateful that Sean
figured it out and posted.

Subject: [s-cars] Programming HVAC to allow recirc without A/C
I was playing around with a VAG 1552 today and figured out how to allow the
recirc to stay on when the A/C pump is off.
1. go to address word 08 HVAC
2. function 07, recoding the HVAC
2. enter 00051
Now the recirc button can be independently controlled from the A/C.
One little niggle, when the A/C is off and you press the recirc, the A/C
turns on, but if you press the A/C, the pump will turn off and the recirc
will stay on.
If you want to switch it back, change the coding to 00052.
