If you have stock intake plumbing, connect it so that the side with the
small vacuum hose attachment is facing towards the front of the car. It can
either face upward or towards the front...towards the front is the correct
way.

Subject: [s-cars] direction of the DV?
Ok i know this has been discussed before but the direction of the DV,
should be side of the DV connected to the squigily hose that connects
to the bottom of the turbo and to the pipe running from the
Intercooler? (This way the piston can not be forced up by the flow of
air) OR
should the bottom of the DV be connected to this squigily hose, and
the side connected to the black hose that runs back into the turbo
inlet.
I ask b/c i was reviewing ETKA 7's picture of the Engine setup and the
picture shows the setup as the first setup, the PO had it setup the
second way.
For those that have ETKA 7 up and running the diagram i am looking at is:
Model A10Q Year 1994 MG 1 SG 33 Illustration 133-70.
When I hooked it up like this everything seems to run okay for a bit
but then in the higher gears in the lower revs or after a few really
good pulls, the whole bloody tranny and rear diff seems to shake
violently, when I step on the gas. I kinda had this shaking issue
when it was the DV was as the PO had the DV installed, but not near as
violent.

BTW we got our first snow (2 in) I am sooo glad I have this car and snow
tires.
