That's not a permanent repair.

In the US there was a recall for this, maybe 4 years ago.
The fix it to replace the leaky piece of fuel line.  To replace it
with the exact original shaped line is a lot of work, because of 
it's routing - I don't remember the details.  The recall replaced 
the line with a new line part that was shaped to fit into easily
installable areas.

Maybe someone else remembers this more clearly, and maybe has pictures
of the before and after installation locations.
