Thanks to you folks on the list and SHOKAN, I'm up and running again, without the potential for IED thrills under the rear axle.  This has been a great car the last 7 months, and the eibachs and lowering springs really changed the charachter of the car in a positive way.  I just wish I had a way to raise it a few inches when the new snow falls.  I have never had a more poised and controlled car in the snow.  You do your part and the car does its part, no worries.
