That's it! I found the pages 48.28, 48.36 with the pump x-plug exploded in
the diagram. I guess I will not ever be selling any of my old Bentleys.
Although the pump is a totally different design, the X-plug, I'm sure, is
serving the same duties on the newer pump. I believe it is a pressure relief
valve.

Sounds like you tried to replace the infamous "x plug" and seal to fix a
leak at the plug. When I replaced mine I didn't see any parts other than the
ones you described.
