[s-cars] Audi S5 sighting

Hello folks,

Living at high altitudes along I-70 in Colorado, we see our fair share of
"test mules" from various auto makers. Some are heavily camouflaged with
whole-car bras or goofy paint spots/stripes or whatever. This morning I
went to the Frisco supermarket/Starbucks and when I came out, there were two
Audi S5's parked right next to me, not camouflaged in any way! They both
had no back seats and were stuffed with extra computers and wires and such,
keyboards and monitor mounted to the dash on the passenger side.

Both cars were equipped with six-speed manuals but only one had emblems
indicating the 4.2 motor. I think that is all that will be offered in the
US S5, but not sure. One car had the front fender mounted small turn
signals, one didn't. One was black and one was a medium red. It looks
very nice with great lines. Still not convinced about Audis newest
grill offering, but I'm starting to get used to it. Both had a very nice
looking set of 19" rims that I think are not offered on any other new model
that I have seen, with Dunlop SP9000 tires. It is very low-slung, wide and
pretty mean looking. If you are in the market for a very nice looking
sporty coupe, this might fit.

I hung out for a few minutes hoping to chat with the pilots, but they didn't
show and I was late for a meeting anyway. In a past encounter with these
"mule pilot" types, they aren't very friendly or willing to talk about the
product, so I'm not sure it would have mattered anyway.

So keep your eyes peeled, they are out there.
