Slow down there. :-) I just saw your message... I'm slow to catching  
up on the digests.

I did the t-belt on my wife's 96 A4 just a couple of months ago with  
the wonderful assistance of Teddy Chen.

If you don't change the seals, it is a very easy job, and you can  
(carefully) get by without the cam holding bar. I would recommend  
renting the tools from Chris Semple at Force 5. This will have the  
crank lock tool (you really need this) and the cam lock tool. The  
lock carrier really moves everything out of the way, and you have  
plenty of access to everything. It is a fairly easy job to do.

Search through the tech section on audiworld, there are writeups for  
doing the V6 on the A6, but the procedure is nearly identical to the A4.
