[s-cars] Water leak - rubber hose under inlet manifold

I've got a water leak! It initially appeared to be coming from the inlet
manifold - I could see the drips. Then I discovered that there was a tiny
jet spraying up from a 16cm length of hosepipe (the one that connects to the
metal pipe that crosses over the front of the engine to the turbo).
It was a bit of a struggle to get the old hosepipe off, but I got there in
the end.
Two questions:
1. Can I replace this with standard hosepipe, or do I have to buy the Audi
part? The part number stamped on the pipe appears to be 034 121 471 AP, but
I'm having difficulty finding it in ETKA. I think it's item 27 on
illustration 145-25 (AAN turbocharger/wastegate) called 'shorten to 160mm'.
The item above has no number, just a hyphen and is called N 020 262 1, 'hose
in coils of 5m' 10x3.5.
2. Is this a sign, that at 123K miles all my water hosepipes are on the way
out?
Any help or BTDT appreciated!
