[s-cars] ? NAC Macbooks

Bob,

Unless you are heavily invested in some single purpose software, you
will
probably find most of that large software investment is outdated and
easily
replaced with new applications that are part of the OS or much lower
in price.
The usual revelation is, "I really never used those programs, I just
couldn"t
bear to throw away so much investment". :-) Make sure your emotions
don't
drive you to a bad decision. You'll probably find very little need
for windows
in a month or so, but you can run it using Parallels if you can't do
without it,
say, for VAG-COM. But, I would recommend a $100 PC for that or Bentley
on CD.

Apple usually has the low end Macbooks in the refurb section of the
online
store at $799. There are always add-ons needed--more memory for sure,
but still a bargain. Other online stores can save you sales tax as
well.

Of course, the best deal would be a low priced PC laptop that would
run OSX.

Tom
