I don't know about the hose but the inlet to the bomb has a mesh screen
in the banjo bolt.

I ask because after somewhat restoring my hydraulic system with a new pump and screen + flush with new fluid my hose seems to leak a tiny bit near the pump and my brake pedal is still stiff stiff. The brake issue might be due to a bad bomb (which I plan on replacing with a used part soon) but I also have the knocking sound in the steering when I turn the wheels (steering preload adjustment did not work). This sounds started only after the new pump + fluid install.

Also, the hose seems to move a good bit when actuating the steering, another reason why I believe there may be blockage. Maybe that is par for the course with 2500 psi of pressure?

>Yup, I blew the J-hose last night - the one from the hydraulic pump to the accumulator. Yup, it's the part that's $558 at the local dealer here in Vermont. ECS shows it at just $495. Haven't seen it anywhere else.

I checked with a local place that rebuilds hydraulic hoses, but he doesn't think that he has the stock and fittings on hand for this application - apparently he's been asked to do this before, and discovered this needs to be a hose of 2500 PSI working pressue, and he doesn't have the stock on hand to do that.
