[s-cars] Hydraulic "J" hose leaking

Whoa there, folks. Before anymore misinformation gets out there,
let's under-
stand that the "J" hose of this subject is a brake pressure hose, not
a steering
hose, and thus will not cause groaning of the steering rack and
pump. HOH
will always put this restrictor in one end of the line when doing the
repair, and
with swivel ends it will always fit without twisting the flexible
part of the hose.
There are screens in the banjo bolts for most of the hydraulic hoses,
so you
need to make sure they are clean. The old fluid turns black from
deterioration
of the hoses and will eventually block these screens and the
reservoir filter.
Since both the steering and brake boost get pressure from the same pump,
both need to be clean.
The steering hose is only around $250, so the savings of a hose
repair are
much less than the infamous "J" hose.
