"My wife and I are heading to NYC and Boston on Sept. 22 for two weeks
(first week driving up the coast towards Martha's Vineyard and then over
to Boston).  We have a hotel in NYC but nothing in Boston.  Would like
to stay downtown (maybe near the baseball stadium??).  Price IS an issue
at some point."

You WILL have some fun.  Don't forget the undisclosed Crooklyn
location just for the fun of it.
And be careful in der NYC.  Pizzo lives nearby as does Serge,... as in
I've been Serged... and Pizoo'd.  Those guy ARE NY.

as I think he was last seen there.
WRT Boston, well
Obviously you would ferry it over to marthas vineyard for a party with
the Clinton's, well Bill anyway.
I might choose nantucket, (cause I am the man from there) but either
place should be jammed with touron's.
Can't go wrong in boston.  Stay anywhere, take the "T" (aka subway)
and IIRC a USD will get you anywhere in 30 minutes.  Gotta do it.

you pay the tab with Grolsch and will be happy to charge you double if

Rumour has it there are eastcoast listers here that may have an idea or two.
