[s-cars] Driveline chatter-not fixed

Mark:
Sounds exactly like mine, but it only happens under *hard* acceleration in
1st or 2nd gear. I understand that as the engine tilts, it changes the angle
of the front CV. The grease inside the CVs tend to dry out and then wear is
inevitable.
The funny thing is that it did not do this until *after* I replaced the
engine mounts (Boge).
Try repacking the CV joints and see if the noise lessens or goes away. Also,
new CV joints are available from Porsche, the part number is 923.332.032.00
New CVs will require removing the driveshaft (drop the exhaust first) and
pressing out the old CVs. I'm told the rubber boots are not replaceable.
I'm going to try repacking mine to see what happens.
