Hi Mark,

You are a little removed from the scene to be assessing the
rust problem in Florida, aren't you?

I lived in Key West for two years and still visit yearly. True,
there is no road salting program, however, some are naturally
salty. It is typically windy, leaving a visible coating of salt on the
windows. Seldom is your vehicle not subject to a daily coating
and the daily showers wet the salty road so it sprays on the
undercarriage.

Most vehicles that reside there for four years never leave. There
are no salvage yards since there is no residual metal left to salvage.
"Dust to dust" and "rust to rust" as they say. :-) It might create an
environmental nightmare if they get too many Audis there.

The Audi has survived month long visits but I wouldn't want to keep it
there. It get lots of baths as well.

Tom :-)
