[s-cars] Almost No-start question

Possibly the FPR at the end of the fuel rail. I had the same symptoms,
though not as extreme. New FPR and a 15 minute install did the trick.

Subject: [s-cars] Almost No-start question

Back to technical questions on S-cars! Subject is 95.5 S6 Avant with
111K on the clock. Three times over the last few weeks I've had
difficulties starting the car - left the car for almost a week at the
airport, and came back, turned the key and cranked, and cranked and
cranked...nada for fire in da' hole. Late night, kind of panicking, so
kept trying a few times. Finally caught and ran just fine the 60 miles
home. Happened to a lesser degree a week ago after leaving it for a few
hours. Also happened this morning after the car sat in the garage for
about 48 hours - had to crank for probably 45 seconds and she finally
gave in and fired up; ran beautifully after that.

No CEL's, and haven't yet pulled codes, but wondering if anyone has any
off the top ideas - fuel pump check valve, for instance? Btw, I
replaced the CPS a few months ago, plugs are in good condition and
recently torqued. Stock motor, runs right all the rest of the time. No
more intermittent CEL's after CPS replacement.

Thanks in advance,

-Randy
