Thanks for the responses!  Sounds like the concensus is leaning toward
problems with the FPR, potentially leaky injectors, or fuel pump/check
valve issues.  I appreciate your kind assistance and advice!

Throwing another "FPR" in your direction.  

My symptoms were the same, I replaced the fuel pump to no avail.  $45
dollars and 45 seconds later a new FPR cured the ill.  Realistically
however, tackling the pump isn't a bad call as yeah sure they do seem to
fail systematically @ ~ 100k or so.  YMMV, but I'd not bet against it
failing.

HTH... now, time for me to resume me best efforts @ mindless dribble,
sheer nothingness, and pointless stoopidity - which I'm seemingly good
at / overqualified for.
