Sounds like a throw out bearing to me Mr. Baloney. At least you won't
even need a Bentley... ;)

Subject: [s-cars] Flock of seagulls?
Folk's
On the way in this AM, I noticed a distant seagull sound whenst the
clutch was depressed. D'oh! and
D'oh again.
At first I thought some new age soul had loaded the ipod with
meditational off shore seagull sounds but no such luck.
The sound kind of varies with the clutch as it releases and engages and
it does resemble that of the jersey shore.
It also produces a slight vibration in the pedal when depressed that is
new.
Other than the noise, the car seems to run normally (whatever that is.)
I am guessing a pilot bearing gone bad? Second suspect and the one I'd
rather replace is the slave cylinder.
Could be time to drop the tranny?
Never done that before, but it's a piece a cake I'm told;)
Any thoughts appreciated.
Bill~maybe it'll fix itself~M
