Steve:

You must try one on for size.  //Sport modes in the '03s is //Splendid.
Give the happy pedal a stomp and off you got to 7K, downshift smoothly and
back to 7K and so on...The '01s do not have //Sport mode but rather the
traditional D-4-3-2 on the gate whereas the '03s have D-S on the gate.
Dunno about the '02s.  Tip?  Who needs Tip?  

Mileage?  My only extended trip so far was coming back from being Krasuskyd
and Bobbed (Rosato to be clear) and I got ~20mpg based on odo reading and
gallons fed.  True this was all highway but speedlimits whenever traffic
permitted were not adhered to.  I love my 95.5 S6 but the S8 is just an
entirely new level.  Fits like a glove, classic lines, 100+ is just a walk
in the park while having a perfectly subdued conversation with anybody on
board.

What's not to like!!
