Good stuff Scotty! And, nice to have you back posting I might add.
Good to know what it takes to get ya out of the woodwork!!!

Funny how //Sciroccos somehow led to //S cars for //So many of us huh???
Weird.

Remember Mr. //S8's name by chance? Just curious.

NAC one might say Mr. P, here's my way of bringing it back to audi
content.
I had 3 sciroccos, a 78 and 2 x 81 'S' version (almost audi content),
one
containing a 2.1L GMP motor and every stress bar and GTI 4wheel disk
brakes.
Back to the '78, it became my ProRally car in 1981, and I attended PR
school
in it with Buffum, Shepard and Woodner as codriver/instructors. Then
it ran
3 years waaaaay behind Mr B during the A1/A2 quattro rally years.

I saw my first Audi quattro (euro versions) road cars during my run at
Press
On Regardless in the winter of '82. 2 full euro treatment urq's with
white
ronals with manufacturer plates "AUDI 1" and "A WON".

Flash forward 25 years.

I also might add in '03 that I went around MidOH in an S8 driven by a
guy
that owns a very tweeked 911turbo. Vivaldi and air conditioning,
chewing up
just about every 2.7tt on the track. He went thru 2 sets of pads in a
weekend, but I will never forget how effortless that machine made
speed.
