  I traded my '69 bug for an '80 Scirocco w/ 1.6l 2b webber and a 4 sp.
  blew the eng. coming back from Utah @ 85mph most the way.
   
  friend gave me his totaled '83 gti and swapped the 1.8l and 5sp.
   
  best handling car I ever had.
