[s-cars] WGFV

Gotta agree with you there, Teddy. It ain't much of a test, but it
does verify electrical continuity, and running with the vacuum line
off will verify how much
boost the WGFV adds. Since Eric reported pretty steady boost levels,
I would look for bypass valve problems and vacuum leaks before
replacing the
WGFV. A swap to check would be nice, if you had a spare or a
friend's s-car handy, before spending the $90. Or, maybe these
things just wear out
after 12 years.
Once you connect VAG-COM checking for fault codes, you might as well
use the capability.
