Greg,
Did you already have the fuel lines replaced? I called my local dealer about
the fuel line replacement and they said it had already been done on my car.
But everything I have seen such as before and after images says it hasn't
been done!
Did you show Audi the required replacement documents?
I can't seem to get to them for some reason. Is it a PDF?
What was the VIN range on the switch replacement?
"I did some research and my car is within the VIN range for the recall. I
found all kind of documentation on the NHTSA site. Shows the steps to make
the repair, stated that the owner shall be given a loaner car, Audi shall
make the repair no matter how much time has past, etc."

Right, Dave. The past participle of the word you're looking for is "scrod".
A replacement starter isn't, as you suggested, a HUGE expense neither is a
replacement switch. Under $40 IIRC.
