Why not do some research and get something competitive? Competitive
does not necessarily mean fast. If you pick the right car in the right
class you can have an advantage. Its more fun to at least be near the
top of the timing charts.
For example, many autocrossers bought the 4 door Neon with the SOHC
engine instead of the faster 2-door DOHC. The 4 door was "faster" in
its class.
