[s-cars] what shocks?

'92 springs/Boge Turbogas _may_ be a good combo. Mine was '96
springs/Turbogas and my feeling is the Turbogas are overdamped (may be just
in compression as Taka mentioned) as they feel rock hard on cracks and
potholes but goes over speed bumps without a hitch.
With the stiffer '92 springs, they may be a good match. Note that I selected
my Turbogas from the German catalog, using the model for C4 body with sport
suspension. There are several Turbogas for the C4 body, probably with
different damping rates.
Vincent.

I was going to upgrade from my original '95 springs/shocks (new oem ones in
front) to '92 springs and boge turbo gas. I thought others were happy with
this combo?

Subject: Re: [s-cars] what shocks?
so what's the hot ticket for a '92 S4 with '92 springs? this car
is a daily driver and i have no plans to take it to the track. right
now, it's still rocking the original boge shocks with 145k miles on them.
i don't want the ride to get much stiffer than stock, but better control
would be nice. i notice the car tends to float over high speed bumps.
