[s-cars] Can Allroad headlight components fit UrS4 housings?

Chris,
Sorry, I left out an "A6". All year allroad and pre 2002 A6 projectors are
the same 60 mm units. The 2002 and later A6 projectors are 90 mm units and
will not fit.
So the allroad projectors and the early C5 A6 projectors are identical.
Others on the list have been able to mount them in C4 headlamps, whether
they were S4 or S6 I don't know...and this may be relevant.
The TT projectors are smaller and are easier fits. The A6 (and allroad)
projectors are larger and throw more light, but are more difficult to fit.
Tab repair kits are available from Audi, but since you're getting these
free, go for it...and by the way, the allroad (and A6) electrics are easier
to use than the TT electrics. The allroad/A6 electrics are all enclosed in a
single weathertight box, while the TT electrics span two boxes that are more
difficult to move over to the C4...functionally they're identical.
