The only thing you proved is that the Boge Turbogas is not a good match for
your stock springs.
The only way you can properly evaluate the shock is the replace that OE
shock with another, same model OE shock and compare, back to back, on the
same roads, same tires, same car, same environmental conditions. Obviously,
that may not be entirely possible, but you have to be scientific about it.
I replaced the shocks in one of my cars recently and it was a huge
improvement. It would be correct to say that the new shocks were a huge
improvement over the old shocks. However, it would NOT be a proper
conclusion to state that KYB AGX are better shocks than OE Showa, as the
type of comparison that I mention above was not done. The only way to
conclusively make such a statement is to pull the shocks, put them on a
shock dyno and compare the damping curves. Everything else is butt-dyno type
speculation.
You cannot evaluate your old shock as not worn out because a different shock
yields a worse ride quality. That's completely unscientific.
